Dental Aligners Order Management System is a back-office CRM platform built for a clear aligners company to run its sales pipeline and clinical workflow in one place. The system handles the full lifecycle of an aligner order — from inbound lead, through patient and treatment data capture, to the dispatch and tracking of cases through the lab — and gives the company’s operations team a single source of truth for what is happening across clients, leads, and production. Because clear aligner businesses sit at the intersection of e-commerce, healthcare, and manufacturing, the back office has to hold a lot of moving parts together. FusionWorks designed and built the platform end to end.
The platform is structured around the real journey of an aligner customer. Leads enter through marketing channels and clinic referrals, get qualified by the sales team, and progress into active orders once the patient case is captured. Additionally, the system holds the data needed to convert a lead into a clinical order — patient details, treatment notes, attached files — without forcing operators to switch between tools. This single pipeline view is what lets the company forecast workload and respond to inquiries quickly.
Once a lead becomes an order, the platform tracks the case through its production lifecycle. Operators can see which orders are awaiting clinical review, which are in production, and which are ready to ship, with status updates and timestamps that hold up to audit. Furthermore, the data model is shaped around clear aligner cases specifically, not a generic CRM, so the fields and workflows match the way the business actually runs. This domain-specific structure is what makes the system useful day to day rather than a place where data goes to die.
Because the company’s operations span marketing, sales, clinical, and production, the platform consolidates that data into operational dashboards that the leadership team can rely on. FusionWorks designed and built the platform on a Node.js and NestJS backend with a MongoDB data layer, exposing well-typed APIs to a React frontend. Our team worked through the data model with the business — leads, patients, orders, cases, lab work, shipping — and built the operator interfaces that the sales, clinical, and production teams use every day. We handled the integration points the system needs to talk to the wider business stack, and tuned the application for the responsiveness operators expect from a back-office tool. Furthermore, our work supports the company as it scales its order volume and adds new product variants.
